Soledad Miranda

Here are a synopsis, pictures, and video from The Castilian. For more details about this movie, click here. If you have any pictures from this movie that I don't have, please contact me!

This film, about a nobleman leading his people against invaders, takes a look at the medieval Spanish wars between the Moors and the Christians. It tells the true tale of a hero, Fernán González, who comes out of exile to become Count of Castile and overthrow the grip of Moorish tyranny with his mighty sword. González was one of Spain's greatest heroes and a pioneer of guerilla warfare. He not only defeats the Moors in an epic battle with the assistance of two saints with flaming swords, but also, through falling in love with Sancha, the Infanta of Navarre, unites the Spanish provinces against the invaders.

This clip features some of Soledad's scenes from The Castilian. She plays Maria, a Castilian woman who is to be given to the Moors to appease them. However, the Infanta and González save her. She later strips to distract the enemy troops. (Her lines are dubbed; this is not her voice.) This movie can be ordered in the store.
