Dr. Johnson and his wife are happily married and in love. He is confident that the Medical Council will approve of his experiments on human embryos in order to find cures for diseases such as cancer. He wants to help people. However, the council deems his research criminally inhumane, takes away his license, and destroys his lab. He becomes depressed, psychologically tormented by their denouncing words. He goes mad and kills himself. His widow, Mrs. Johnson, becomes a heartbroken woman whose descent into madness matches her husband's. She vows revenge on the council members who drove him to his death; her method is to seduce and then kill each one in ecstasy. The first one she trails, pretending to be a hooker to get him into bed. Once there, she slits his throat and castrates him, leaving a taunting note behind. The remaining doctors become nervous and the investigator has no leads. Mrs. Johnson poses as an exiled artist to seduce a female doctor and smothers her with a pillow. She is becoming mad and cannot let go of her husband, keeping his body in their home until she has avenged his death. She follows another doctor, gets him into bed, and stabs him; then kills the last doctor and his wife. She puts her husband's body in their car and drives off a cliff.
